Barbora Radvilaitė's Small Chapel

On the left side of the road Musninkai-Čiobiškis, there is a white, slightly leaning Barbora Radvilaitė’s chapel. How did Barbora Radvilaitė appear in Musninkai? Musninkai residents remind us of the legend that Duchess Barbora was visiting Musninkai in one early spring. After finding out that one of her brothers was severely sick in Dubingiai, Barbora decided to visit him immediately. When the duchess's carriage was going across the river, a strong stream caught her and took her downstream. Deadly terrified, Barbora started praying to her patron Saint Barbora. And then the carriage touched the hard bottom of the river, and the charioteer managed to lead it to bank. Barbora Radvilaitė did not forget her promise and built a wooden chapel for her patron. The brick chapel built in the 18th century has remained until today.
